ATASA has three schools that cater to the needs of various fields of specialization within the Aviation Industry. ATASA is designed to be an institution of higher learning. The academy is not built around or to service a particular aviation company but is designed to service the aviation industry worldwide. Admission Requirements

General admission requirements: You must meet the general admission requirements for Aerospace Training Academy of South Africa programmes. The Admissions Office will determine which admission category or standard you will be in.

Program-Specific Admission Requirements:

In addition to meeting the general admission requirements, admission into the Aviation National Certificate/Diploma programmes may require any of the following subjects and minimum grades:

  • English Language — 50–59%
  • Mathematics — 50–59%
  • Physical Science — 50–59%

Learners with marks below the recommended 60% can also apply for a certificate course.

Entry into Short Programmes:

Short Programmes are skills programmes, and entry into these programmes will be based on the main qualification the prospective learner has already acquired. Conditional admission may be granted in advance, but receipt of final/official transcripts confirming the achievement of specified minimum grades will take place after all final/official transcripts have been received by ATASA.

How to Apply:

The following documents are required for application at ATASA:

  1. A certified copy of your South African ID book or passport.
  2. A certified copy of the account payer’s South African ID book or passport.
  3. A certified copy of your National Senior Certificate or Statement of Results or equivalent.
  4. If you hold a foreign passport, a valid study visa made in the name of Aerospace Training Academy of South Africa.
  5. Appropriate Fees Schedule.

You can apply at ATASA during the academic year. It’s always in your best interest to apply without delay as space is limited. Please take note that a non-refundable application fee of R500.00 is required – payable by Internet bank transfer or direct deposit. Complete the APPLICATION FORM and pay the application fee. We will then contact you to complete the process.
